Welcome to SERVAS Malaysia Blog

Hello every one,

I would like to welcome you SERVAS Malaysia web-log (blog). This is an attempt to have a space for members of SERVAS from Malaysia and the rest of the world to interact and share a common passion - building peace through travel (by being a guest or host). For visitors to this website who are not familiar with our organisation you may visit the SERVAS international website http://www.servas.org/

A few years ago, a mailing list in the form of Yahoo Group was set up for SERVAS SEA (South East Asia). In the beginning there was quite an activity, with members posting their travel stories and pictures, and other topics of interest. However, later on, due to inactivity, our mailing list was unfortunately closed down by Yahoo!

I hope that new this new ground would provide an opportunity and enable SERVAS members to interact and share their passion again.

For starters, I would like to invite members of SERVAS Malaysia to please send in an introduction about themselves and their family, their interests, occupation, hobby and anything that you would like to share with the rest of us.

I would like to very much encourage you to send to this posting as many pictures as possible. Remember, a picture is worth more than a thousand words.

With that, I hope to see you on this playground of SERVAS Malaysia.

Visitors please do come back from time to time, and you are encouraged to contribute your postings to this blog as well. Please email your postings and pictures to abdulct@gmail.com, and I will be sure to publish your postings here.

Sincerely,

Abdullah Che Tengah, from Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia.

Congratulations on your Blog!

Our news: here, friends of Servas are teaching a Servas Discovery workshop to 17 year-olds in Katimivik, a popular youth development programme.

We have created a workshop outline and will try to video the workshop, for YouTube.

Best wishes, from snowy Canada!
